Marshall Blecher is an award winning Australian architect based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Marshall is the co-founder and director of Maritime Architecture studio MAST and the founder of Studio Marshall Blecher. In 2014 Marshall travelled the world with a prestigious Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship researching vernacular floating architecture which led to his settling in Copenhagen, Denmark where he undertook a Masters degree in Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation. Marshall is the recipient of the Mirvac Award, the 2018 Taipei International Design Prize in the social design and public space design categories and the 2022 Taipei International Design Prize in the public space design category. His work has also been shortlisted for the Beazley design Award, the Danish Design Prize and the 2022 Dezeen Award. Marshall has given keynote addresses at Apple HQ in London, at mindtalk in Beijing and at Utopian hours urban design festival in Turin.
